Long distance love.

Age didn't matter, we all suffered the same thing: isolation.
The brave ones who decided to enter into a long-distance relationship before COVID, and those who had to (because they had no other choice), have been dealing with this for almost two years now.
Reasons.
If you were already in a long-distance relationship before COVID, you'll know your reasons very well. Love, commitment, the promise of eventually reuniting with your partner. Maybe you lived in the same place, but due to school or work, one of you had to move to a distant state.
For those in love during COVID or very soon after the quarantine erupted, things change a bit. It wasn't a matter of choice. It wasn't because of an incredible job opportunity or being accepted to your dream college. They were physically separated by a twist of fate.
Just when you're getting to know that special person, the one you've seemingly been searching for your whole life, an event unlike any other in our time is triggered.
Distanced or separated?
You may be living far away, even in different countries. You may be physically separated, but you shouldn't feel estranged from each other. Even though you can't see each other, touch each other, hug each other, or kiss each other, you are together, heart and soul.
Fortunately, the COVID quarantine arrived in these modern times, where the internet is available everywhere in the civilized world and we can communicate with our loved ones 24/7, all year round, through video calls and text messages.
We have plenty of social media, and dedicated video conferencing platforms have boomed now with the pandemic. There's no need to send letters and wait a week for a response; we're just a few clicks away.
We may be separated by metric units, but those who truly love each other will care little and will feel as if they are standing next to each other.
