Celebrating World Book Day as a couple.

Sharing tastes and hobbies is part of the normal course of a relationship, and in the case of book lovers, a time is approaching that can be used as an excuse to show off a little something to your loved one.
April 23rd is World Book Day, an event typically celebrated by giving a loved one a book and a rose. This tradition is divided into two parts, stemming from two historical events.
The most recent is the one related to World Book Day, as UNESCO didn't establish this date until just 27 years ago. The second part is what makes it a great opportunity for couples and has to do with the legend of Sant Jordi.
The legend that gave rise to the rose
This story tells the anecdote of a dragon that was ravaging the lands of Montblanc, devouring the villagers' animals. So the inhabitants decided to offer a person as a sacrifice to appease the beast's hunger.
That was until it was the turn of the local princess, who faced her destiny and, once in front of the dragon, was rescued by a knight named Jordi, who ended the life of the mythical creature.
From the corpse grew a rosebush, from which the knight cut a flower and gave it to the maiden. From this arose the tradition of giving a rose to a loved one on Saint George's Day, a date that coincides with Book Day and has become a tradition over the years.
Details that end boredom
A fantastic narrative, which creates a context worthy of a story or a novel, for the celebration of the best vessels of stories, those paper companions that allow those who hold them in their hands to enter impossible worlds and live as many lives as books they want to read.
As with other hobbies, through a book you can show your partner another side of you, since there are so many literary genres, and so many anecdotes captured in each binding, that you can always show a new world to that person you want to share your life with.
So if you and your partner are fond of reading, don't wait any longer and go get a book you like and a rose, to defeat the dragon of boredom with a good story.
