Wedding styles that are here to stay

The ideas we're going to talk about this time are a few of those that were developed during lockdown, proving that love is one of nature's greatest forces when it goes hand in hand with human ingenuity.

Two-part weddings

One of the main complications they faced in recent years was the restriction on the number of people in a space, whether indoors or outdoors. So the couple found the solution of dividing their guests and, consequently, the celebration into two parts.

The first would be with the closest relatives and the second with close friends, keeping weddings with a minimum of guests, giving rise to busy small-group meetings, which affected me, and which didn't make me miss the grand events of the past.

Outdoor festival weddings

When outdoor celebrations became more common, weddings took advantage of the opportunity to take on a dynamic twist. While outdoor weddings already existed, they still had a monotonous format that didn't really differentiate them from indoor weddings.

This is how wedding festivals are born, ceremonies that not only feature an open space in communion with nature, but also the format of a fair, both in decoration and in the layout of the spaces, featuring drink islands, food tents, and other activities that add liveliness to the nuptials.

As their name suggests, these are the smallest and give a literal meaning to the petit comité. Only the closest family and friends were involved, not only minimizing the risk of contagion but also reducing the expenses of the entire ceremony, since if anything was marked by the pandemic, it was the careful consideration of the budget.

Elopements or destination weddings

This style had such an impact that we previously dedicated an entire blog to its organization, but broadly speaking, it's understood as a wedding that takes place in the couple's dream destination.

It keeps guests to a minimum and doesn't necessarily include a celebration after the religious or civil ceremony; in most cases, the celebration takes place upon the newlyweds' return.

Hyper-personalized parties

With the considerable reduction in guests, other areas were compensated, such as the theme and setting, which required a considerable level of detail and customization to truly make your wedding a one-of-a-kind event.

These are five styles that emerged during the pandemic and changed the wedding landscape so positively that they will continue to frame countless love stories in the coming years.
