Monogamy in 2021.

Monogamia en 2021.
The path to follow, the default relationship in our society for many, many years. However, this wasn't always the case; depending on the era and the society in which we lived, alternative paths existed. Different experiences and lifestyles. Commitments and relationships weren't what they're portrayed as today. In today's blog, we'll briefly discuss the state of monogamy in 2021.

Current events on polyamory:

Nowadays, it's quite common to walk down the street and see two types of people: those who are single and those who are in a couple, a pair of two. One assumes they're dating or just going out, never that they're lovers or part of a polyamorous relationship.

The reality is that it's increasingly common to find people who experiment in this way, who aren't afraid of their sexuality or what people will say about me and my partners.

We've previously discussed some types of polyamorous relationships on this blog; we invite you to read that post if you're interested in learning more. Depending on the type of polyamorous relationship you want to pursue, there are a multitude of "packages" you can subscribe to and modify along the way if you want to expand further or change your mind.

The truth is that many will still view the members of a three-person (or more) relationship with prejudiced eyes, casting disapproving glances or even insulting and rejecting their relationship, simply for not following the “society norm.”

Prejudices:

They are prejudiced people who do not accept that others have what they do not, and who completely refuse to see the change we are experiencing within our society or that we no longer live in the times of yesteryear.

Yes, it's usually older people who share in this rejection, but there are also people in the younger generations who, having been raised in an old-fashioned, rigid way, are closed off to it, like their ancestors.

Remember that, as long as it doesn't affect you and doesn't affect third parties, individuals are free to do whatever they please, as long as they are of legal age and responsible.

Experiment or be conservative:

Finally, don't be afraid to experiment. Times change, and so do people. Don't close yourself off from life because it's gone in a flash. Suddenly, you close your eyes and when you open them, two years have passed, and you find yourself in the same boring, monotonous relationship as always.

Maybe it's your partner, maybe it's you, maybe it's both of you. Likewise, it's better to be alone than in bad company, but if we're talking about experimenting, it's better to try it with three or more people.

However, if this isn't your style, if you're more of a hopeless romantic looking for your soulmate, it's fine!

Go out and find your soulmate, it could be on your next trip to the grocery store or an old high school crush that you meet years later and fall in love, have a monogamous relationship, and get married with children and a happy marriage.

Experiment or be conservative when it comes to love, but whatever you do, make sure it brings you happiness.

Whichever route you choose, we wish you the best of luck in love!
