Types of wedding ceremonies.2

1. Light or candle ceremony
For this ceremony, the couple must use three candles: one large and two small ones. They must first light the two small ones, which represent their individual lives, and then use these same candles to light the larger one at the same time, creating a new flame that symbolizes the new life together that is about to begin. This ceremony symbolizes life together in a mystical way.
2. Sand ceremony
This ceremony has its origins in ancient Hawaiian weddings held on the beach, where sand sealed the union of the spouses. The bride and groom used sand from their places of origin and mixed it together as a symbol of their eternal and inseparable love.
Nowadays, the ceremony is very simple: each bride and groom is given a glass jar filled with different-colored sand. The bride and groom pour the sand into a larger container so that the two combine, creating beautiful waves of color that symbolize marriage. Guests can also contribute by adding sand to the container, symbolizing that they too will be close to the bride and groom in this new life.
This ceremony is of Celtic origin and has a very honest and sincere meaning. It's a ritual based on the joining of hands and the spiritual promise to maintain that union for as long as love lasts. The bride and groom intertwine their hands forming the infinity symbol, and the officiant ties them with a rope or ribbon, representing their union before the gods and nature. This ceremony ends with the phrase "as long as love lasts."
4. Rose Ceremony
The bride and groom exchange two long-stemmed roses and place them in a vase. Each anniversary, they should do the same to remind themselves that their marriage is based on affection and passion.
5. Wine ceremony
Each bride and groom must carry a decanter, one with red wine and the other with white wine, and just like in the sand ceremony, both pour their contents into a smaller decanter so that it holds the mixture of both, and the officiant offers a glass to each of them with this mixture.
These are some of the most original ceremonies if you're looking for an alternative way to celebrate your wedding and surprise your guests.
